Restricted Parking Zone & One-way System Proposals

Glasgow City Council is proposing the introduction of a Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ) in the Thornwood and Broomhill areas. This would also incorporate the introduction of a one-way system throughout many of the streets in Thornwood and Broomhill.

The proposals are currently in the public consultation stage. Every household and business within the proposed RPZ should have received a letter from Glasgow City Council providing details of the proposals, with instructions on how to provide feedback.

If you are a resident and/or business owner in the Thornwood area, you are invited to provide your views on the parking control proposals by completing the online survey.

The survey closes on Sunday 4 January 2026. Details of the proposals can be found here: https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/article/14223/Broomhill-and-Thornwood-Areas-Proposed-Parking-Controls

Plans of the proposed one-way system can be found here: https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/media/22499/Broomhill-and-Thornwood-RPZ-Proposed-TRO-COMMUNITY-ENGAGEMENT-Sheet-2/pdf/Broomhill_and_Thornwood_RPZ_Proposed_TRO_COMMUNITY_ENGAGEMENT_Sheet_2.pdf?m=1763022810043
